Weather Hinders Earthquake Rescue Efforts

The death toll from the 8 October
7.6 magnitude South Asian earthquake continues to rises. The
estimated deaths in Pakistan alone are at 38,000 and official
reports from India are at 1,300 but are expected to rise.
Despite bad weather, relief
operations were working at a fever pitch, with helicopters and other
equipment trying to rush supplies to the hardest-hit areas.
Pakistan said it will set up a
tent village for the thousands left homeless by the quake.
