HSI and WSPA
Collaborate in Aceh

HSI Asia Director Sherry Grant and WSPA representative Ray Butcher met in Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia to discuss the coordination between the two international animal welfare organizations on Indonesian relief efforts. Grant said, "The magnitude of the animal welfare issues in Aceh are so large that no single agency can accomplish everything that needs to be done. We are happy that WSPA is here to help"
After the meeting they bordered a plane for Banda Aceh along with Dr. Listriani of the Bali Street Dog Foundation, Garry Richardson, of WSPA, and Dr. Wahyu, a Medan veterinarian. In Banda Aceh they will all join the HSI advance team that is already working in the area.
