HSI Donates $5,000 for
Sri Lanka Animal Relief

Neil Trent, Executive Director of the Humane Society International (HSI) announced the immediate donation of $5,000 for the relief of stricken animals and vaccinating for rabies in the refugee camps in Sri Lanka . The funds will be used for the care and feeding the many abandoned and distressed animals left homeless in the wake of the tsunami. The funds are being distributed locally by Robert Blumberg, Blumberg, who now resides in Sri Lanka, was formerly with the Egyptian Society of Animal Friends where he worked closely with HSI. Some of the funds will go to Pet V Care, one of the most active groups working on the relief efforts. (related story)
