How You Can Help?

If you are a veterinarian professional, Veterinarian , Veterinarian Nurse, or Veterinarian Technician, then click the button below:

We basically do two things at HSIAsia.  First, we find people and organizations that are doing good work in animal welfare.  We then offer them assistance depending upon their needs.  Our help can take several forms:

  • Money

  • Technical assistance

  • Operational assistance

  • Fund raising assistance

  • Promotion

In order to do this work, it requires that we spend too much of our time raising money.  This is the part of the business that we like the least, but is a necessary part of our operation.

Generally speaking we work with and support existing organizations who have demonstrated the skills and perseverance necessary to work in this area.  Working in animal welfare has it's own rewards - hard work, little money and occasionally the great satisfaction of knowing that your work has lessened the suffering of some animal.

Because we generally work through other organizations, we do not normally use volunteers except veterinary professionals (vets, vet techs, and vet nurses) during a disaster response effort.  But if you happen to be in Bali, give us a call and their might be office work that you can help us with.

The other thing that people can do for us is scout worthwhile animal projects that might need some help.    No project is too big or too small.  One of the most important things to us are the people who are actually doing the work "on the ground".  Ultimately, we are investing in people in small local organizations who are getting the work done.

The other thing that you can do for us is donate money.  Nothing can happen without the necessary funds to get the job done.  It takes money to keep the programs going.  Too often a project depends on the labors of one very dedicated individual who is struggling each day deciding whether to put food on their table on in the mouths of the suffering animals they are trying to help - we've seen it many times.  Without sustainable funds, these very dedicated people eventually burn themselves out and run out of money - and the animals go without.
